Fleetwood Joiner has over 45 years of experience as a professional architect and has been the principal and president of Fleetwood Joiner, Inc. since 1972 with projects in California, Nevada, Hawaii, Washington, Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, Florida, New Mexico, Mexico, Central America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. He graduated summa cum laude with a Masters of Architecture from Tulane University, School of Architecture, and did Post-graduate studies in Urban Sociology also at Tulane.
His professional experience includes master planning communities, custom residential, office, commercial and retail, recreational facilities, high density residential and senior care facilities, industrial buildings and medical laboratories and modular construction. Fleetwood has developed, designed and owned two modular system companies providing low cost housing for the US, Pacific Rim and Central American markets. His knowledge of various construction formats enables creative design with consideration for budget criteria.
Fleetwood Joiner has been the recipient of Gold Nugget and AIA awards, has been featured in numerous national publications and has appeared on CBS and local educational TV. Fleetwood has an active Architectural License in the States of California, Nevada, Hawaii, Texas, Florida, Washington State, Arizona and New Mexico. Fleetwood is an accomplished painter and sculptor. He enjoys traveling internationally, studying various cultures and photographing architecture to add to his library.
Thomas Stewart has worked as a professional architect for over 39 years with projects in California, Arizona, Hawaii, Mexico and Asia, and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arizona, Tucson. His award winning projects range from high-rise office and residential to retail malls, civic buildings, custom homes and resort hotels. Tom has designed many apartment and condominium projects, custom homes ranging from 6,000 to 40,000 SF and the concepts for renovation of apartments, offices, hotels, retail centers and malls. Thomas holds active architectural licenses in California, Arizona and Nevada. Tom travels regularly with his wife to Thailand and other parts of Southeast Asia and enjoys playing classical guitar and piano.
Jeff Anderson has over 20 years of Architectural experience, and graduated summa cum laude from Cal Poly University, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Architecture, with a year of study in Florence, Italy. Jeff has experience in all phases of creation from programming through construction. He has designed custom residences and estates in some of the most exclusive residential enclaves in California and Nevada. Jeff has worked on various project types including educational and institutional facilities (including science buildings, classrooms, lecture halls and theaters), commercial, tenant improvements, automobile showrooms and sales facilities, museum renovations, retail, hospitality, and multi-family housing. Jeff holds active architectural licenses in the California and Nevada. Jeff also is an artist with talents in drawing, painting, etching and printmaking.
Gordon Randall has over 43 years of Architectural experience, and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly University, San Luis Obispo, spending one year of study abroad in Florence, Italy. He has served as principal of his own architectural firm prior to becoming a part of Avalon Architectural, Inc. in 2001. Gordon has worked as a job captain and project manager for multi-family, mixed use, custom residential, industrial buildings, malls and retail centers located primarily in California, Oregon, Washington, and Nevada. His experience also includes restaurants, office buildings, religious and institutional projects and large tenant space planning. Gordon holds active architectural licenses in the State of California and Washington. Gordon enjoys gourmet cooking and wine tasting/pairing.
Amanda manages the firm’s marketing and web content, advertising placement and editorial submissions. Amanda graduated cum lade with a bachelor’s degree in English from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and is a former associate editor of a Southern California lifestyle magazine, specializing in art, architecture, and design features. She is also a freelance journalist, author, blogger, and a public speaker on women’s issues and empowerment.
